Mom. It is the hardest job, and by FAR the best job in the whole wide world.  Filled so many surprises, challenges, heartbreaks, and joys –  it’s an honor to bear witness to a life growing and learning right before your eyes.   Most days are filled with tantrums because you cut the grilled cheese in quarters instead of in half, early morning wakeup calls, late night screams for mom to do one more monster check in the closet, and a constant struggle to balance being a wife, mother, friend, and pursue a career you love  … But in between all the chaos there is beauty, a real, true unimaginable beauty – so I just wanted to share these images from THE GLOW because they capture that beauty perfectly….  And thank you to my Jack, it’s an adventure and a honor to be called mama by you.  You are my everything and loving on you is the best part of my day, everyday.   Happy mother’s day to all you mamas and mamas to be!

…. let’s have a warm welcome for the world’s best addition to the Two Penny Blue studio… meet WINSTON!!!  So happy to introduce this sweet guy.  We were incredibly lucky to adopt him from the amazing Chicago Canine Rescue.  Aren’t recuse pups just the best?  He is just the sweetest, calmest, happiest pup in the world and it’s been a blast to have him in the office .  He is also in heaven with the endless love, cuddles, and treats he gets from the 2PB team… sweet boy is quickly getting spoiled.  Our little guy, Jack who is 5 is just smitten too.   And if your are in Chicago and looking to add a fur baby to your family, check out the awesome folks at Chicago Canine Rescue.  and get ready to see lots of pics of this guy in our instagram feed… he loves the camera like nobody’s business.

A sweet friend is getting married in the fall to her long time love (10 years!) and in lieu of a bridal shower and bachelorette party and all that good stuff she suggested a chill girls getaway to Cabo … my kind of girl indeed.  We’ll be sneaking of to Mexico for a little girl talk, a lot of wine,  a few spa treatments and lots of laying by the pool.  We still haven’t finalized the plans, but that won’t keep me from dreaming…  Here’s everything I would pack for my dream girls getaway.

So excited that we are seeing emerald everywhere since it’s Pantone’s Color of the Year – but let’s talk about the good stuff .. how exactly are we are going incorporate into our closets?  One reason I adore emerald so much is because when paired with leopard (my favorite neutral) it makes for the ultimate sophisticated combo.  Love it everywhere from fashion to interiors . So let’s stop for a second + break it down….
